Does Your Horse Like Being With You?

July 9th, 2008

 It’s a simple question.

Does your horse like being with you?

 Can you tell?

 Have you caused him fear?

 Intimidation?

Ya know, there’s a bit of fine line
between bein’ your horse’s friend and being
too much of a disciplinarian.

If you’re too much of a friend, your
horse may be too much in your space.

He may nudge you with his nose trying
to establish he’s the boss yet you may think
to yourself, “How cute. He’s playing with me.”

 Tell you what.

 He ain’t playin’!

The basic rule is that you make sure
Mr. Horse keeps in his space.

He doesn’t come into your space unless
you invite him in - even then,…I don’t like
doin’ that.

 Instead, go to his.

But there’s a mutual respect thing
goin’ on here.

Just because you go to his space doesn’t
mean you can invade him.

 Show him respect too.

If you don’t, it’ll show up later as dis-
respect to you.  And when you’re in the saddle, that’s
not a good thing.

You show him respect, he shows you respect.

 It’s relationship basically.

Can you imagine being with someone you
don’t feel good about?

If you’ve been divorced or had a bad friendship,
you know what I’m talkin’ about.

You don’t even want to be around that person.

When you see ‘em comin’, your stomach turns.

When you hear their voice, you think “blechhh!”

The thought of eye contact makes you wince.

Now think about the flip side.

What about the people you like having around you?

You like the sound of their voice, don’t you?

When you see them coming, you feel good about
 it - even excited.

 Yippee!  Here’s my friend.

Is that not how you want your horse to feel
about you?

When he does, he’s more willing to do what you
ask.

 He’s easier to train.

 He’s safer to be around.

 It’s a loyalty builder.

So how do you get your horse to want to be
with you?  To feel good about you?  To want to please
you?

Paul Esh, our very first trainer we filmed
from SuperStars of Horse Training, says this:

  ”I always want the horse
to be with me.  So I start
   out by rubbing him.”

Paul went on to say this helps your horse to
want to be with you more than the other horses.

Considering how strong the herd instinct is,
this is a golden horse training tip.

By the way, if you want to know more about
Paul, you can read about him at:
www.SuperStarsOfHorseTraining.com/Esh
 Here’s another tip.

When your horse does what you ask, don’t
hound him.

But if you think he needs to prove to you
that he can do what you ask…then don’t ask him
to do it more than 3 times.

 Then put him away.

Heck,…how would you like to be made to
do something over and over and over?

Wouldn’t you start disliking someone who
made you do that?

Would you want to please that person?

Might you have the urge to be naughty to
him since you feel like he’s bein’ naughty to you?

Just put yourself in your horse’s shoes
and see it from his perspective.

 Just cuz he’s a horse doesn’t mean he’s
a mindless machine.

Treat him like you would your best friend
but still be sure to get his respect.

And for us guys - we should talk to the horse
just like we would a lady.
 Adios until manana.
Sincerely,

Andy Curry

How To Teach Your Horse To Give From The Saddle

July 1st, 2008

                    Teach Your Horse

               To Give From The Saddle

Dear Horse Friend,

Horse owners often have trouble with their horse giving to the bit when in the
saddle.

Here’s a good technique to use now and then.

As you’re sitting in the saddle, pull the rein back a bit to the fork of the saddle.

   Then hold it there.

   Just hold it.

   Don’t pull more.

   Don’t release. (yet)

If your horse needs to improve on giving to the bit, your horse may push on
it at first.

Understand that it’s okay if he does.

   Why?

Because any pressure the horse puts on the bit is pressure “HE” did.

But as soon as he gives, let go of the reins.

It’s cheating to lift up the reins every time they give.

   Don’t keep taking his head.

While you’re holding that rein against your saddle fork your horse will either give or try to take away his face.

   It’s him that does it.

You are giving them a simple problem to figure out.

The problem is when they push on the bit it’s uncomfortable.

Then he has to figure out if he should push more to make it stop….

    or…

he has to figure out that if he “doesn’t” push on the bit, the discomfort goes away.

And THAT’S what you want him to figure out.

You see, if you keep pulling on the bit after he gives (it’s called cheating), then he’ll not learn there’s any relief after he gives.

This is how Linda Braddy explains it in her DVD from SuperStars of Horse Training.  And if you want to read about her, click on the following:

www.SuperStarsOfHorseTraining.com/Braddy
   Think about it.

There are only two places a horse can move when bit pressure is applied.

   He can push on it.

Or he can NOT push on it.

Why would he push on it?

   Answer:  Why Not?

Heck, he’s just trying to be comfortable.

It’s natural for him to push on it because it’s an instinctual thing. He’s just tryin’ to push it away so he can get comfortable.

   That’s all.

He just hasn’t learned that to NOT push on it is the key to comfort.

So if you hold your hand steady on that saddle fork and wait for him to give, that’ll help you teach him to give.

Just remember not to cheat and keep taking his face because he won’t know that giving his face creates relief for him.

   Adios until manana.
Sincerely,

Andy Curry

In case you missed this tip today…here it is reprinted

June 25th, 2008

Hey Friends,
 It happened in 1977.

 Vincent Johnson and Frazier Black
burglarized a home and stole 2 TV’s and a
checkbook from the home of Mrs. David Conner.

A few hours later, they made one of
the checks out to themselves and tried to cash
it at a bank.

The teller asked them to wait a minute.

She went and called security after she
left their presence.

 Why?

Because the bank teller was Mrs. David
Conner.

 The burglars were…

  ”BUSTED!!!”

She knew something the burglars didn’t
and they failed.

That’s how they got caught and ultimatley
in trouble.

That same principle can work against
you with horses.

But when you know things that get your
horse doing what you want, you win.

For instance, pro horse trainer Sue
Robertson says this in her DVD about lungeing
a horse:
   “This is the basis for
     riding, creating a car-
   riage horse, or whatever.
   It’s like laying the foun-
   dation for the house and
   it’s where respect starts.”

She goes on to say you can teach the
horse to walk, trot, lope, and stop at
command.

These are the BIG 4 important things
your horse must know.

And much of it you can teach before
you even swing a leg over ‘em.

When you lunge, there are certain
principles to follow.

For example, when you tell the horse
to “get out” or “get up”,…that’s what you
tell them all the time.

 Never change it.

If you keep using different commands
with your horse, it’s like moving furniture
around when you have a blind man in the house.

Know what else you should do when
lungeing?

Talk to your horse a lot.

 Why?

Because you want them paying attention
to you.

Because you can teach them vocal commands
and get ‘em used to it and doing what you want.

Because they become familiar with your
voice and know you are the leader and hearing
your voice again and again cements that in
their mind.

And when you’re on the back of a horse
that’s spookin’…your voice is one of the most
important tools you have to keep you safe.

 Pretty cool stuff.

If you want to know more of what she shows,
click on the following:
www.SuperStarsOfHorseTraining.com/Robertson-Groundwork
And do you know what things you never
vary while lungeing a horse…and what things
you “DO” vary?

If not, you really need to watch what
Sue shows - it’s that important.

 Adios until manana.

Sincerely,

Andy Curry

Win One Of Our November Horse Training DVD Packages

November 5th, 2007

Hey gang.

We’re going to give away one of our DVD packages that, combined with bonuses, has a value of $1028.00 (At last count).

Here’s how it works.

1. Look over our video clips and pictures with descriptions at:

http://www.superstarsofhorsetraining.com/NovemberDVDpackage/

2.  Out of all the trainers and their info, pick at least 2 of the trainers that you feel will benefit you.

3.  Write why you want to know and learn what they’re teaching and how you think it will help you. To write about it, you will need to click on the “Comment” link just below this blog post.

4.  At the end of your thoughts, be sure to write your first and last name, occupation, and state you’re from at the end.  If you’re from outside the United States, then write your full name with the country you’re from. It’s important you post your email so we can get a hold of you - plus, if someone has the same (or close to) name as you, you want to be sure you get the credit.

If you don’t want to display your entire email, then display it partially.  For example, if your email is jenny_smith@yahoo.com, then write “jenny_smith@XXXX.com   If you show your entire email, there will be no doubt who the winner is.  If you show only part of it, we’ll likely be able to find you but is not totally guaranteed.

5.  The winner will be chosen by one of our associates and will be final.

How will the winner be chosen?

We wanna see a deep commitment and sincerity in your desire and willingness to get the most out of these DVD’s and apply them to your horse. And most of all, we want to know how you think it will benefit you.

The one who conveys this deep commitment, desire, and sincerity will get the FREE package INCLUDING bonuses!

Here’s an example of how you could write yours:

I’ve lost confidence riding my horse and I’m not sure why-but I think after watching the “How To Float In The Saddle DVD” will help me get it back because I just feel so unbalanced in the saddle.  Plus I bounce so much that I feel clumsy. I really want to feel better about my riding. I ride with others and I don’t want to feel embarrassed about my riding.  I will watch that DVD at least 3 times (like Andy always recommends) and practice it.

The other DVD I want to learn from is “How To Neck Rein.”  My horse has no idea how to do it (I’m not sure either) and it’s such a neat thing. I want my horse to neck rein because it will put him up another notch in his training and it will feel great to teach him how to do it.

Help Me Decide!

April 4th, 2007

Hey all you horse-crazy people,

Our list of people wanting to come to our BreakThrough Results Horse Training Success Camp is enormous.  There are, last I checked, 646 people on the list yet there are only 107 available slots.

However, this does not automatically count you out.

We considered creating an application process but frankly, I don’t know how to make it fair for everyone.  So, one thought I have is this.

Tell me how you intend to use the knowledge from the clinicians we’ve assembled because, after all, we’ve gone to great to lengths to jumpstart your level of horsemanship skills and knowledge by getting to work with with 6 different professional horse trainers in one location….and they are there for you and your questions and concerns that entire time.

We will comb through the responses and pick the best 33 replies and they will be put in the top consideration for the available slots.

To leave your reply, simply click on the “comments” text just below this posting and write your thoughts.

Enthusiastic Horse Owner From Israel Coming To Our June Clinic!

April 3rd, 2007

Hey ya’ll,

A lady named Helen who lives in Israel, wrote me an email a few days ago and she’s already making plans to come to our clinic.

I thought you should see this because I’ve heard some people say the clinic is too far to travel to.  But Helen’s coming….and she lives in Israel!

Rather than me telling you what she said, I have reproduced her email here.  Take a look:

                  ***************************************************

Dear Andy,

I read your last email, and I really hope you won’t let me out of this experience.
As I wrote to you already earlier, I am coming from Israel and I would love it to meet the trainers and you, see the hole happening and be part of it. Also, because it would be great to make good contacts in the American horse world, and eventually bring trainers over to Israel to give seminars here as well. There is still so much to learn :-)

Also, please note that in order not to have to pay a huge expensive ticket, due to the up coming summer season, I had already to order the tickets.  If I would have waited, I would have had to pay far more, and have the chance there is no place on the plane.

I am waiting for the price of the seminar and hotel (I need a hotel from 3rdof June (noon time arrival at airport) and until 8th of June (morning hours) All together I believe that on the long run it would be a great thing for both sides :-)

Hoping for positive news from your side :-)

Helen, I’m happy you’re coming.  You’re an inspiration to us all.  You are obviously serious about knowing how to work with your horses. I am anxious to meet you!

   One other thing.

If you haven’t seen the page we put up of other people coming, I urge you to see it now.  These people are serious, serious, serious about learning - My hat is off to them.

Break Through Results Horse Training Success Camp

March 23rd, 2007

Hey Y’all,

The excitement is mounting because our Horse Training Success Camp is quickly approaching.

We will be opening registration in early April.

You may be wondering what we’re going to show you.

Great question.

First, we did a survey to find out what people wanted to learn and where they needed the most help.  Hopefully, you were one of the horse owners that answered our questions.

The answers were not only fascinating, but they told us what we need to do to help you the most.

Here are some of the things you will know before you leave our Horse Training Success Camp.

1.  How To DeSpook Your Horse

-  If you have a horse that’s always wondering what’s out to get him, you don’t want to miss this.  Diana Quintana will be showing you how to easily overcome this dangerous problem.

With over 25 years of horse training background, you will discover amazing insights from a real pro!

I’ve spoken with Diana about this and she already has it planned out.  You will be shocked what you learn from her.

2.  How To Ride A Horse That Suddenly Spooks And/Or Bolts

- If you have ever sat on a horse that suddenly freaks out and is more concerned about his safety than yours, then you want to see how to handle this.  After all, if your horse takes off and you can’t stop him as the fence posts go whizzing by then you must attend.

This will be taught by Paul Esh.  Paul was the first trainer we featured on SuperStars of Horse Training.  When I discussed this with him, he hinted he may bring one of his clients with him to prove YOU can do this too. What’s so good about his client?

She’s a little over 70 years old and has learned how to manage her horse in nasty situations.

Well, that’s all I have time to tell you about for now.  I spill some more beans soon.

In the meantime, if you haven’t seen our recent updates, be sure to check them out.

Go To:

http://www.SuperStarsOfHorseTraining.com/june-clinic-updates.htm

Some people have said they can’t hear the updates.  We can’t figure it out.  If you’re having trouble hearing it, be sure your speakers are on.

Talk to you soon.

Andy

Contest for Christmas DVD Special

December 3rd, 2006

Hey ya’ll.

Last month we gave away one of our Surge Relief DVD sets to ManyFingers. (That’s his real name - and he is absolutely deserving of his prize).

Many were wondering if we would have another contest like we did last month.

The answer is “Yes!” because I’m definitely in the Christmas spirit.

So just like we did last month, here’s the way you play.

Just click on the “comments” link below this blog posting and write your answer this question:

How Will You Use These DVD’s

To Jump Start Your Horsemanship Skills,

Significantly Improve Your Understanding

Of Horses And Horse Training And

Accomplish Your Goals And Dreams With Your Horse(s)?

My staff will look through the answers and pick the winner.

The winner gets one of our Christmas DVD sets and EVERY bonus that’s part of this offer.

PLUS!…I will arrange for the winner to have a consultation with one of our esteemed horse trainers from SuperStars of Horse Training.

There will be only one winner and all decisions by my staff are final.

I haven’t put a calculator to this just yet - so I’m doing the math in my head - but the total value of this package is $917.00. (Actually, it’s higher than that because I’m including another bonus or two that I don’t remember their value).

You have until Monday, December 4th at Midnight to state your case.

     Good luck!

Andy

One More Chance To Win One Of Our DVD Sets - Here’s How…

October 28th, 2006

I just thought of something.

Whoever wins this DVD set, I’m going to make sure they also win the bonuses. (And wait’ll you see what they are - you’re gonna flip!)

Anyway, here’s how you could win:

First, you need to read about the DVD’s that are part of the release.  You can read about them on this blog.  I’ve written 2 postings about the DVD’s.  Both of the postings are below this post.  One is titled “The 3rd DVD”, the other is titled “Hey Ya’ll…….”

Next, once you’ve read about the DVD’s then think about how you’d use them to help you with your horse(s).

Then click on the word “comment” at the end of “this” posting and write how you will use the information from the DVD’s to help you and your horse.

My staff and I will review the comments very early morning on Tuesday, October 31st.

We will pick a winner based on how the writer is going to use the information.

Remember, you don’t have to know squat about horses to win.  All you need to do is explain how you’re gonna use this information to help you.

This contest will end Midnight, October 30th.

Good luck.

P.S.  Before you write your answer, there’s a place to input your email.  If you win, I really need your email so I can tell you that you won. (No one will see your email but me)

The 3rd DVD

October 26th, 2006

Today, as promised, I want to describe the 3rd DVD in our release for November 1st.

This DVD features Sarah Jarvis.

This is a very different and fascinating look at how this trainer teaches her horses to respond from the rein aids with such subtlety, you’d swear the horse is reading her mind.  In fact, unless you had a trained eye and knew what to look for, you almost wouldn’t see the cues given to the horse.

Sarah does some of the usual stuff like first teaching a horse to get accustomned to the aids she uses.  For example, she uses a crop to teach with.  She gets the horse used to it so he doesn’t feel threatened from it.

She takes you through, step-by-step, and reveals her way of teaching the rein aids and the “Half Halt”.  She points out certain body positions you should have to teach your horse with absolute clarity so you won’t risk miscommunicating with your horse.

There’s a phrase Sarah repeats in the DVD that everyone should know and understand.  She says, “Work the horse you have…not the horse you want.”

This is veddy, veddy important.

Here’s what it means.

If you’re teaching your horse to lead and you take your crop and tap him on the chest just after you say “Whoa” but your horse keeps walkin’, then you don’t stop and expect him to stop because “that’s” not the horse you have.

The horse you have keeps going, so that’s the horse you work.  Why is this important?  Because your aid (the crop) won’t mean anything if you stop and he keeps going and now you’re not using the crop.  Then he’ll learn the tapping of the crop means to keep going.

Your aids have to mean something.  “Work the horse you have”.

Anyway, Sarah shows you how to teach your horse the use of the rein aids with delicate subtlety.  With Sarah’s method, you barely touch the horse’s neck with rein and that horse knows to move from it, or stop, or whatever it is you taught him.

Sarah goes on to say there are 3 levels of touching the horse with the rein.

One - it just touches the hair.

Two - it dents the hair.

Three - it touches down to the horse’s skin.

Very, very slight differences yet they mean everything to the horse when taught properly.

Although there is much to be learned from this DVD, one of the best things to learn and understand is this: You do NOT have to pull on your horse to get him to do something.

And you don’t want to.  The less you pull, the better your horse will be for you.

Instead, try using what Sarah does because there’s very little pulling.

When you get this DVD, watch it ASAP becasue it’s pretty unique.

Very few of our members have seen this DVD because Sarah is the October trainer for SuperStars of Horse Training - but as part of our release November 1st, you get to see it right away.

And there you have it.

This is the 3rd and final DVD of the package being released.

Sarah’s will be available by itself by or before early December.  But the other 2 (Aaron Mills’ Defensive Riding and Vickie Weigel’s “Help Your Horse Conquer His Trail Riding Monsters”) may NOT be available by themselves.

Again, we’re looking at turning Vickie’s DVD into a step-by-step course complete with pictures and lessons.  Her DVD would be part of that course and probably not available by itself.

Aaron’s 2-Disc set is being held back mostly because he’s creating his own video series and we don’t want to flood the market before he’s ready to present his own.

I can’t say for sure just yet, but this may be the only time you can get Aaron’s Defensive Riding clinic on DVD.

Well that’s it for today.

I’ll be talkin’ to ya’ll soon.

Andy Curry

P.S. If you want to comment on any of these writings, just click on the word below that says either “comment” or “comments”.  Then a new window will open and you can scroll to the bottom and write to your heart’s content.

Hey Ya’ll…Here’s more info about our November DVD release and our contest

October 25th, 2006

As you likely know, we have closed the door on our contest.  We had 1025 entires.  It’s gonna take a while to figure out who won.

But don’t despair, if you didn’t win or didn’t make it on time to try the contest…I’m having one more contest that’ll begin October 28th.

Here’s how it’ll work:

You will soon know which DVD’s will be part of the release November 1st.  (Yesterday, I told you about one of them and I’ll repeat it again in a moment - plus, I’ll reveal the 2nd one also.).

Then after you read about the DVD’s, ask yourself this question:

“How can I use this information to help me with my horse(s)?”

Keep that answer in the back of your mind because you’re gonna need it to try to win the contest that starts Saturday, October 28th.

Okay….’nuf about that.

Yesterday I sent out internet postcards to everyone.  I announced the DVD release will happen November 1st.  I also said if you are NOT on the notification list, you won’t be one of the first to know the exact moment the DVD release starts.  Since we are releasing only 317 sets and there are currently 493 people on the notification list, it’ll be first come first served for those who own the sets.

Plus, we have some killer bonuses for the early buyers.  There is one bonus that only the first 100 buyers will get.  It’s $100 value.  And if you’re a horse owner or about to be….you won’t want to miss out on it.

Next, in the postcard I revealed one of the DVD’s being released.  It’s a 2 Disc set we have of Aaron Mills showing his renowned clinic called “Defensive Riding”.

If you know what Defensive Driving is….then you know what I mean by Defensive Riding.  Aaron allowed us to film this clinic and this only the second time he’s EVER done THIS clinic.

Let me describe why this DVD set is so valuable.

If you’ve ever been on a horse that spooked or is about to…then you know how vital it is to stay safe in the saddle and transform a dangerous situation into a minor mishap.  If you need more confidence in the saddle, I’m willin’ to bet this will do it for you.

If you’re a nervous rider because you just know your horse is going to spook from that dog running toward you, or a semi truck just bellowed his horn, or a llama is 10 feet in front of you and your horse…whatever it is…THIS is Aaron’s answer to staying calm, confident, and safe in the saddle.

In fact, Aaron has this mastered so well that he’s famous in his town for taking a very green horse that’s been ridden only 5 times and going through the drive-in at the bank.  Anyone who knows about horses knows how crazy that is and it’s a great way to get in a huge, huge wreck.

Yet…Aaron did it with confidence and skill. (And no…I don’t recommend you go through a drive in at the bank)

It is this confidence and skill I want you to have once you watch his clinic on this 2-Disc DVD set.

The next DVD that is part of our November release is from Vickie Weigel.

Vickie’s DVD is about teaching your horse to conquer his fear of those “horse-eating-monsters” he comes across while on the trail or wherever you ride.

You’ll see Vickie teaching a horse and its rider how to work through the spooky stuff.  Perhaps the most valuable thing you’ll get from it is how it’s done, the detailed explanations Vickie gives, and how to start from point A and go to point Z.

As you watch, Vickie points out the warning signals the horse gives.  Then you’ll see how to teach him calmness and courage based off the warning signals.  I think you’ll be amazed at all the different things Vickie reveals.

It’s definitely going to grow your bag of horse-training-tricks.

Okay….that’s it for now.

Tomorrow I will tell you about the 3rd DVD that’s part of the release for November 1st.

Ride Safe.

Thank you

October 19th, 2006

I just wanted to take the time to Thank You Andy for all the time you put into the information you put in your emails. You give a wealth of information, in a down home simple way. You once said we humans make it too difficult. These are not complex creatures. I have hung around some horse people that when you ask them a question they don’t know how to answer, because they don’t understand to horse. Up until 3 years ago I only had one horse, my Quarter/Arabian, She was 15 years old when I bought her, that was 10 years ago. So she was pretty simple, she already knew what to do. Then 3 years ago I bought Chance, he was 2 and had only been riden by 2 people, me and the girl that said she trained him. LOL!!!!!!! I, at that time thought I knew how to ride a horse, Chance proved me wrong. He reared on me, hit me in the face and knocked me out. I fell off and was still holding the reins, and I pulled him over on top of me on the road, I was in a cast up to my knee for 3 months with rods and screws in my ankle so I could walk again and walk I did. And I rode Chance again, but that is when I started seeking help. I didn’t want to give up on my horse, cuz I knew it was not his fault. I then learned that I was giving him mixed signals. I didn’t know anything about leg pressure until then. Between Andy Curry and all his helpers and some Frank Bell, too I got alot of help. He now belongs to my 17 yr old daughter, she is working on him with the cows on the dairy where we live, I would not call completely safe, I will not let her ride him without a tie-down or a martingale. He still likes to rear, but he is so long, that keeping his head tied down will not allow him to get around fast enough, so we switched to the martingale, there again I don’t want to give up on him. He is a big 15.5 hand Quarter/Paint. The people I bought him from was pretty brutal with him. They bought him when he was 1 yr old. They didn’t want him, they wanted his mama, but had to buy him also. They started him off totally wrong, BAD WRONG. We could not even do his hooves without some one getting hurt. We still have a little hard time, but it ain’t nothing like it used to be. We can shoe him now, he doubles without giving us grief. He has came a long way, but still has some things to learn.  My new riding buddy is my Mustang, Wyoming, She is great, I feel like I am riding Hildago. LOL!!!!!!!We named her after the state she came from, She picked it out. I got her from BLM when they came to Ocala, FL. I paid a whole $25.00 for her and she is well worth more. She was a frequent flyer, so they reduced her price. She also picked me. When I walked into the arena where she was I could feel her watching me, I ain’t kindin. She watched me walk up to the pen she was in and she came over to me. My husband made me look in 25 other pens, but I said I wanted her. She was small, but pretty. I never thought we would be riding her, I thought she would just be a pet, but I am now riding her. She has taught me alot about riding. I took her to Live Oak, FL to the Open House at the Fl Sheriff’s Boys Ranch. I was leary about riding her around all the other horses and trucks and trailers, lots of them too, but she amazed me how she handled all of the hussle and bussle, it was like a fair to us. She did GREAT!!!!!!!. I LOVE THIS HORSE!!!!!!! Sometimes I feel like I don’t have time for them, but I try to get out with them about 2 or 3 times a week. I have 6 and it is hard to handle all of them. And they all need work.  I could talk all day about my horse, but this blog was to say “THANKS” , so  THANKS ALOT!!!!!!!I am so glad I found horsetrainingandtips.com. Thanks Andy and crew. Wina

The email about a horse’s fear

October 10th, 2006

Andy,

What you said about the horse’s fear meter yesterday was life changing for me because I just got an increased understanding of horses and why it’s harder for them to learn than at other times.  THanks.

The “Electrical Surge” problem forcing me to offer a great deal on horse training DVD’s

October 10th, 2006

Hey all.

As you know, I had an electrical surge happen in my house when I got home from a 5 day camping trip.

Turns out that it fried my washer, nearly cooked my computer, a computer monitor, my refridgerator, and looks like I need to replace an underground feed. (The electrician warned that I better do this).

As you can imagine, it’s gonna cost me…A LOT.

Since I don’t have a money tree out back, I decided to look to you for help.  So I’m offering a neat package of DVD’s that will interest you because one of them may become part of a different product later on.  That means this particular DVD may not be available by itself.  It’s about showing you how to help your horse conquer the trail monsters.  It features Vickie Weigel. This is a powerful DVD for those of you who want to know the A to Z methodology of teaching your horse to conquer his monsters.

There are 2 other DVD sets in this bunch I’ll tell you about later - stay tuned. (We’re still debating if we can offer one of them for privacy reasons.  More on that later.)

Horse Training

June 29th, 2006

The art of horse training is part science, part knowledge, part psychiatry, part friendhship, part …..lots of things.

Experience is your best teacher.  You can learn and learn but until you get out there and do something with it then it’s much like learning how to grow big muscles.  You can read about how to do it but the ol’ muscles won’t grow and get big until you get in there and do it.

So if you’ve got one of our DVD’s, be sure you watch several times then get there and try what you learned - otherwise, it won’t stick with you.
